I'm a detail-oriented and reliable CIEP-trained proofreader with strong tech skills (Acrobat, Word, Pages and Workiva). I support a range of clients with clear and accurate content – everything from short social posts to complex annual reports – spotting errors, refining tone and style, and ensuring brand consistency. I also review and refine AI-generated copy, bringing the human eye and editorial judgement needed to identify inconsistencies, strengthen clarity and ensure content is accurate, natural and on-brand.
I work on content for a range of teams and projects at Unilever, including sustainability hub updates, the annual report and accounts, press releases, news articles and brand pages. For PPL (the UK music licensing organisation), I proofread the annual review and press releases. I also work closely with a European translation agency, proofing and editing press releases and brochures for UK and European clients across multiple sectors. My editorial experience includes proofreading and editing articles, interviews, competitions and recipes for print and online magazines such as Devon Home and Taste Buds.
I'm a member of the Chartered Institute of Editing and Proofreading (CIEP) and a fluent English speaker with a degree in Business and Marketing. I work from home in Hampshire and my flexible set-up is ideal for responsive project work.
I'm available primarily to proofread and edit copy, but I also manage website content including uploading images, adding listings, checking content and editing blog posts. I have over 25 years' experience, including 12 years as an Account Director in the advertising industry, where I edited content for ads, brochures and digital campaigns.
